What in The TDS & Al-Kaline Water Purifier

What is TDS - Aquapro Water Purifier System

Total dissolved solids (TDS) is the term used to describe the inorganic salts and small amounts of organic matter present in solution in water. The principal constituents are usually calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium cations and carbonate, hydrogen carbonate, chloride, sulfate, and nitrate anions.
TDS in drinking-water originate from natural sources, sewage, urban run-off, industrial wastewater, and chemicals used in the water treatment process, and the nature of the piping or hardware used to convey the water, i.e., the plumbing. In the United States, elevated TDS has been due to natural environmental features such as mineral springs, carbonate deposits, salt deposits, and sea water intrusion, but other sources may include: salts used for road de-icing, anti-skid materials, drinking water treatment chemicals, stormwater, and agricultural runoff, and point/non-point wastewater discharges.
In general, the total dissolved solids concentration is the sum of the cations (positively charged) and anions (negatively charged) ions in the water. Therefore, the total dissolved solids test provides a qualitative measure of the amount of dissolved ions but does not tell us the nature or ion relationships. In addition, the test does not provide us insight into the specific water quality issues, such as Elevated Hardness, Salty Taste, or Corrosiveness. Therefore, the total dissolved solids test is used as an indicator test to determine the general quality of the water. The sources of total dissolved solids can include all of the dissolved cations and anions, but the following table can be used as a generalization of the relationship of TDS to water quality problems.

2. How to Test your pH - Aquapro Water Purifier

By now you might be intrigued about giving this alkaline diet thing a shot, but how can you really tell if it’s working? The good news is that you can easily test your pH levels at home. Just head to your local drugstore or online retailer and pick up a pack of pH test strips.
You can test your pH levels often throughout the day, but try to do so at the same time each morning, as your body will be more acidic the earlier you measure. The goal is to get your morning urine pH between 6.5 and 7.5.

For saliva, your pH should be similar to your urine. Wait at least two hours after eating to measure your saliva pH. Fill your mouth with saliva and then swallow it. Repeat this step again to ensure your spit is clean, and then place some saliva on the pH strip.
We all know our bodies need ENOUGH water but HOW we drink our water can also have a big effect on our health.

Proper drinking of water can help with good digestion and also acid/alkaline balance. Either of these can make the difference between you enjoying good health and suffering!

1.  First thing in the morning: drink 2-3 cups of pure warm water or room temperature after your night of fasting.
  • Drink as much as feels good. If you feel nauseous do not continue to drink.
  • It is important that the water has nothing in it so that is passes through right away. If it contains anything at all (not even lemon juice), it will stay in your stomach up to one hour not going into cleansing mode.
  • The water will flush your kidneys and bladder clean out fasting debris from your stomach and colon.
  • Prepares the stomach for food by stimulating the glands on its walls. Drink warm or hot water as it is gentler on the empty stomach.
2.  This water should be warm, not hot and not cold. Cold water is shocking to a warm stomach. In fact very hot or very cold is never a good idea. Those who continually drink very hot drinks are more likely to develop throat cancer and digestive difficulties.

“Very cold, or very hot drinks are not usually good for the digestive system at any time. When they vary too greatly from body temperatures, they may cause shock to the system. Dentists warn against very cold food or liquids on the teeth. Physicians note that those who are habituated to very hot drinks are more likely to develop throat cancer and digestive difficulties.” – Dr. Raymond Moore

3.  Avoid drinking right before a meal. Drink between meals if needed but wait for 1 – 2 hours before drinking anything.

4.  For those with any constipation problems it is useful to drink 1 or 2 cups of warm water before bed.

5.  Tap water has chemicals added it is best to drink purified water. Chlorinated water can destroy nutrients your body needs, such as Vitamin A, B, C and E and fatty acids. Some chronic skin conditions like eczema, acne and psoriasis may clear up or improve by simply switching to unchlorinated drinking water. Buy a  good filter. They don’t have to be expensive.

6.  Eliminate plastic bottles, pour your water in a glass or metal bottle, so it’ll be free of plastic contaminants.

7.  Slowly decrease the amount of packaged juices you drink while increasing water intake. Fresh juice is fine to drink. Packaged juices tend to have chemicals that are deposited in our bodies with detrimental health effects.

8.  Eliminate soft drinks as they tend to have acid content that negatively impacts the teeth and mouth.

9. Herbal teas are acceptable to include its volume as part of the water quota to be drunk at that time.

3. What is alkaline water - Aquapro Al-kaline Water Purifier

You may have heard some of the various health claims about alkaline water. Some say it can help slow the aging process, regulate your body’s pH level, and prevent chronic diseases like cancer. But what exactly is alkaline water, and why all the hype?
The “alkaline” in alkaline water refers to its pH level. The pH level is a number that measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is on a scale of 0 to 14. For example, something with a pH of 1 would be very acidic, and something with a pH of 13 would be very alkaline.
Alkaline water has a higher pH level than regular drinking water. Because of this, some advocates of alkaline water believe it can neutralize the acid in your body. Normal drinking water generally has a neutral pH of 7. Alkaline water typically has a pH of 8 or 9.

Benefits

There are a few studies that suggest alkaline water might be helpful for certain conditions.
For example, a 2012 study found that drinking alkaline water with a pH of 8.8 may help deactivate pepsin, which is the main enzyme that causes acid reflux.
Another study suggested that drinking alkaline water may have benefits for people who have high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol.
A more recent study that included 100 people found a significant difference in whole blood viscosity after consuming high pH water compared to regular water after a strenuous workout. Viscosity is the direct measurement of how blood flows through the vessels. Those who consumed high pH water reduced viscosity by 6.3 percent compared to 3.36 percent with standard purified drinking water. This means blood flowed more efficiently with alkaline water. This can increase oxygen delivery throughout out the body.
However, more research is needed beyond these small studies, specifically into some of the other claims made by alkaline water supporters.
Despite the lack of proven scientific research, proponents of drinking alkaline water still believe in its many proposed health benefits, which include:
  • anti-aging properties (via liquid antioxidants that absorb more quickly into the human body)
  • colon-cleansing properties
  • immune system support
  • hydration, skin health, and other detoxifying properties
  • weight loss
  • cancer resistance

  1. Hi aquaprofilter !!! This is a really well written article on Water Treatment, I actually learned a thing or two and that part where you mentioned how to get your dog to roll over was very effective! Just wanted to get your opinion on something – I was just reading this review of Water Filter Supplier at and the guy reviewing this that I thought was a little bizarre. Would love to know what you think about it and what you think about the water service in review. Are you familiar with it? Thanks! Can’t wait to hear your reply as I’m thinking about buying the product you recommends.
